What we publish
Alliance Sud publishes own or commissioned studies on subjects within its policy areas. Studies are published in German and French. Here we comment also on third parties' studies.
Climate wave could engulf development cooperation
The Swiss Government plans to use as much as 400 million francs of development funds annually to fulfil the Paris Climate Agreement. That sounds good, but it is highly problematic, as it comes at the expense of the poorest.
TP17: The tax loopholes for multinationals
Profit shifting by multinational corporations to Switzerland is doing enormous harm to the countries of the global South. The present Tax Proposal 17 (TP17) will not change this – quite the contrary. Alliance Sud research bears this out.
Charging asylum costs to development budgets
In Switzerland, every fifth franc that was declared as development funding in 2016 went toward refugee costs. Alliance Sud gathered facts and figures and compares them with other OECD member countries.
