What it is about

Climate justice also entails Switzerland using the levers available to it to realise the goal of the Paris Agreement, that of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Besides being directly responsible for its own emissions, Switzer-land is also home to many multinational corporations and a leading financial centre. It is also a protagonist in the global fossil fuels trade. These companies and financial players are not subject to any binding requirements for phasing out fossil fuels and are maximising their profits while not paying for the resulting damage to the climate.
